The audience was seen enjoying themselves as eminent Odissi dancer Sujata Mohapatra performed recently at Guru Gangadhar Pradhan Memorial Award function.
Not disappointing her fans, the danseuse gave a splendid presentation that ended with a huge round of applause from the audience. The next performance was by Odissi Guru Ratikant Mohapatra on the mardala and Sujata dancing to the music.

The evening also saw Nirali Kartik from Mumbai singing Hindustani classical which was highly appreciated by the music aficionados present at the do. “It was my first visit to Bhubaneswar and I am extremely happy to perform here. I wish I could come back here again,” said Nirali. “I had heard much about this place and was actually looking forward to come here. I am glad I came.
Unfortunately, this time I didn’t have time to look around,” she added. “It was a very pleasant evening for me and my family. All of us were here to watch the duo perform. We had a great time. I liked Nirali’s performance as well. She was brilliant,” said Manoranjan Mohanty from the audience.
